The collection draws its inspiration from Ba Gua (Eight Trigrams), an early system of notation in Chinese history used to represent heaven, earth, water, fire, river, mountain, wind and thunder, which are each corresponding Yin and Yang principles. Keeping both balance and protection in mind, these pieces were designed with red to create the markings, a color that not only represents happiness but is also believed to ward of evil.
In preparation for the Lunar New Year, we reached out to friends and fellow creatives to help us create a zine that we could share with our communities to capture the feeling and energy of of the new year through the food we make, offer and share in.
All proceeds from the sales of our zine will be donated to Chinatown Community Development Center in San Francisco.

For the month of April, we pledged to donate 30 meals to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank for every order over $150. Thanks to your support we were able to contribute 750 meals.
