Traditionally, candy trays are prominently featured in homes during the Lunar New Year and are filled with candied fruits and nut filled treats that are shared with visiting guests during the Lunar New Year. They serve as a figurative invitation to eat or enjoy a sweet and abundant year ahead.
The Togetherness Tray, designed by Tiffany Saw for Wing on Wo, features a beautifully hand-carved porcelain design of auspicious peaches and heavenly bats. The magnificent tray includes six removable interior dishes – a circular dish for the center and five equally sized surrounding dishes.
Tiffany Saw is a Brooklyn-based potter trained in both American and Chinese pottery techniques. She learned the craft of traditional carving in Jingdezhen, where each of these trays are produced by the artisans of China’s known pottery capital.
