These talismans are made with upcycled natural indigo textiles. The star pattern is made by Gasali Adeyemo using a traditional Nigerian batik technique. Even as small scraps, these textiles are too beautiful to waste, and perfect for these sweet talismans. Each talisman is filled with collected wild California sagebrush and sewn at the edges with sterling silver beads.
See Real Flowers, designed and made by Elena Chien, is a balance of simplicity, beauty, and playfulness. Many of the pieces are talismanic—they are meant to bring calm, clarity, or protection to the wearer.
