Hong Bao Small Envelope Set

$16.00

An exclusive collaboration with our friend Hiroko Kato of Hataguchi Collective for our Lunar New Year shop. Use the envelopes to carry on the tradition of wishing good luck by distributing red pockets filled with money, and enclose with those bills a special wish or message on the notecard.

This is a set of 5 envelopes with matching notecards. Each piece is crafted in India from beautifully screen printed cotton pulp paper upcycled from cotton waste produced by garment manufacturers. Hataguchi Collective’s work turns scraps into fine paper with a purpose. Please not that any imperfections are inherent to the paper.

Hataguchi Collective takes its name from Hiroko’s grandmother’s family, who was the last member of the Hataguchi family line. With her line of paper products, Hiroko gives the family name a new path forward.
