Workshops with MOMOCA

We’re excited to have paper artist MOMOCA taking over the Abacus Row shop windows with her art. MOMOCA draws inspiration from her inner world and layers of memories from her travels. Her creations blend artistry and wonder, inviting viewers on an imaginative journey. To fully immerse you in MOMOCA’s delightful work, we’re thrilled to host a one-day pop-up, on Saturday, May 24, of Momoca’s paper art and related goods along with two paper flower workshops!



Longpom Flowers Workshop
Location: Abacus Row
Saturday, May 24
5:30–7:30pm
$110

Learn how to make long playful and sparkly pompom flowers. In this special 2 hours class, we’ll shape long pompom flowers from paper. Enjoy a gentle dose of creativity before dinner or drinks on Saturday night. Come make magic with your hands.

Milagros Flowers Workshop
Location: Abacus Row
Sunday, May 25
1–3:30pm
$135

A thoughtful, hands-on way to spend your Sunday afternoon. In this special 2.5 hours class, we’ll shape flowers from paper. Each one will carry a Milagros, symbolic, perfect for adorning your wall or altar. A gentle moment of creativity to close your weekend.

What to expect at the workshop:

MOMOCA will guide you through the process step by step, demonstrating how to create these flowers and leaves by hand. After the demonstration, you’ll craft your own unique flowers while MOMOCA shares variations and techniques to inspire your own creations.


Tools to bring:

In order to participate in the workshops please bring scissors, wire cutters, and pen markers. Pliers can also be helpful. MOMOCA recommends scissors that are not too large, medium size 6 inch work well. You may bring all your scissors and MOMOCA will help you decide which one to use.

2) While making your payment, please add a note with the following information. It is really important! Without this info, MOMOCA will not be able to send you a confirmation.

  • The Workshop Name and Location

3) Submit the payment.

  • $110 for Longpom Flowers Workshop on Saturday
  • $135 for Milagros Flowers Workshop on Sunday

With in 48 hours you will receive a confirmation of your reserved spot via email from MOMOCA (info@momoca.com). If you do not hear from MOMOCA within 48 hours, please send them a message via info@momoca.com.


Fine Print

Each class requires a minimum of 6 participants. If the workshop doesn’t reach this number, your full fee will be refunded.

If you’re unable to attend, you are welcome to arrange for someone else to take your place. Should there be a wait list, MOMOCA will do their best to help coordinate a replacement. If you cancel there are NO REFUNDS. Thank you for understanding.
