Come celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with us at Abacus Row this Friday, September 25 from 4–7pm. For this full moon gathering, we are delighted to be joined by Ahn Lee, Chinchin Hsu, Home Note, Kat Lê, and The Asian Dessert Lady. Through art, self-care, music and food, their work offers an opportunity to reflect on community, tradition and our futures. 

Bring a lantern or pick one up at Abacus Row to light up the night. Bring friends and family (including your littles); we’ll have tea and mooncakes to share with all.

AHN LEE STUDIO @ahnleestudio: Ahn Lee is a queer Cantonese artist and researcher based in the Bay Area. Working in porcelain with crystalline glazes she develops and formulates in her studio, her work explores diasporic inheritance, autobiographical re-making, material transformation, and queer Cantonese futurity. Ahn will be popping up with a curated selection of her sculpture work and home wares.

HOMENOTE @homenote.love: Cho Lor is trained in healing and meditation, sound therapy, reiki and numerology. Cho will be offering individual healing sessions.

CHINCHIN HSU @doublechinnychin: Chinchin Hsu is a dancer and choreographer. She is currently working on Every Grain of Us*,*** a dance performance and project inviting audiences to experience the five senses—sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste, through the world of rice. Chinchin will be facilitating a visual and text collage activity.

ASIAN DESSERT LADY @theasiandessertlady: Robin Luu is the Asian Dessert Lady. Robin specializes in fresh grass jelly that’s made completely from scratch using organic mesona leaves from Taiwan. For the upcoming event, she’ll be serving Fresh Grass Jelly with Chinese Pearl Barley + Creamy Slow-Cooked Peanuts and Creamy Coconut Jello with Black Sticky Rice + Seasonal Fruit.

🎶 KAT LÊ @itskatle: is a Vietnamese-American DJ based in San Francisco with a passion for music that binds communities together. Kat will be spinning tunes to set the mood for our Mid-Autumn gathering.

🥮 ǍN XÔI @anxoi.nyc: Ăn Xôi’s mooncakes are handmade from scratch with the best ingredients brought from Việt Nam. We will be serving An Xoi Mooncakes and will have a limited number of boxes available for purchase.

🏮LANTERNS: we have a beautiful selection of glass paper lanterns made by artisans in Singapore that are decorating the shop and that are available for purchase online and in-store. ❤️
