The Year of the Dragon Calendar is our fifth Lunar New Year calendar collaboration with photographer Andria Lo. After discovering the most simple yet delightful painting of oranges by French painter, Georges Rohner, we took a different direction than in our previous years for this year’s calendar with an art recreation. Our featured calendar image is our take on Rohner’s 1969 painting “Bataille d’oranges”. With a case of Page Mandarins purchased from Juicy Fruits in San Francisco’s Chinatown we recreate much of the dynamic arrangements of citrus, cut and peeled to varying extents, while adding subtle details of our own.

All proceeds will be donated to Chinatown Volunteer Coalition, a not-for-profit volunteer organization that is dedicated to serving the San Francisco Asian American Community. Since their founding in 2021 they have been providing language aid, resources and support to victims of anti-AAPI violence, uplifting SF Chinatown merchants, and planning various cultural and community events.
