Crystalline glazes are highly specialized. These glazes are the result of Ahn learning and testing formulations for over a year. Through careful formulation, crystalline glazes grow crystals during the kiln firing process.

Ahn Lee is a queer Cantonese-American artist of Sunwui (Xinhui) descent, self-taught ceramicist, and trained researcher. Their interdisciplinary ceramics practice is a combined methodology of autobiographical re-making and archival research on the Cantonese diaspora.
