While this spring is different than the one we had anticipated, we’re still hanging onto one piece that we have long-planned for and worked towards – our Selene Collection. In this unexpected time, we’re taking a moment to celebrate and share the launch of this collection, a small part of how we envisioned this season.
The Selene Collection introduces our work at a new smaller scale of detail. Through size, texture, and pattern, we designed pieces with fluid and seamless qualities. Pieces that reveal a quiet charm and timeless appeal in subtle details.
With statement pieces that are reminiscent of lunar orbits and a color selection that speaks to spring growth, the Selene Collection reminds us of the natural phenomenon we think fondly of and a time we look forward to.
The Selene Collection features Japanese matte glass seed beads and 14k gold-filled details. Clockwise from top left: Kari Earrings in Peach; Arche Necklace in Ume and Mist; Hati Bracelet in Peach; Thebe Bracelet in all five color variants – Peach, Wisteria, Ume, Mist, and Rain.
The Selene Collection offers patterns and details that work beautifully in singular presentation or in layered combinations. See how we styled the collection in our lookbook.
Thank you for being here with us. We are beyond grateful to have a community of friends to share our work with.

I am excited to introduce six new design additions to our Signature Collection. This collection is where our line began in 2012. It is the core of Abacus Row, representative of our aesthetic and approach to design. The collection is the product of a gradual and iterative process of numerous additions and edits over the years. And it is a series of work that we are perpetually considering ways to evolve.
Each of these six new design additions this season is a reflection of the repetition and refinement of our work and process, and of our intention to grow this collection substantively. These designs represent a practice in striving to see something new in the familiar. They embody the distinctive qualities and design elements of where we began while providing a new and refreshed perspective.
We are excited to announce that our new 2020 Signature Collection additions are now available online as well as in our shop located in our Nob Hill studio in San Francisco.

Please join us this Saturday, February 8 as we mark the end of the Spring Festival. This is a time for us to celebrate with our dear friends, kind neighbors and our wonderful customers – to express our gratitude for the support we received in the previous year and to enter the new year among good company. Come by the studio + shop for a spread of delicious treats and merriment. We will eat, drink, (shop if you’d like), read each other’s fortunes, and test our luck. And perhaps, at the end of the night, we’ll head out together to look at the moon over the city.

We’re thrilled to welcome Brooklyn-based ceramic artist, Minh Singer, to our shop for our final event of the year. Please join us this Saturday, Dec 21, for this one-day event. We’ll be here to help you find those special and thoughtful last-minute gifts, and to offer you hot cocoa and holiday treats. Stop in, stay awhile, you’ll find good food and good company.
Our shop will be open through Monday, Dec 23. Drop by between 11am-6pm!
About Minh Singer
Minh Singer is a ceramics artist based in Brooklyn by the way of Ho Chi Minh City, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. Minh approaches each piece as a meditative journey, mindful of our humanity and beautiful imperfections. Inspired by the unpredictability of nature and of civilizations long gone, her work is a collection of mystical souvenirs from an unknown time and place. Minh is a graduate of Pratt Institute and has worked in fashion and art education.

Our shop opens up tomorrow, Nov 21, just in time for the holidays! We’re excited to hold regular hours for you to come by and see what we have in store. We’ve curated a selection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind objects and beautifully designed goods to shop alongside our line. We’ve brought in work made by some of our favorite artists and designers around. Including ceramics by Minh Singer, fine jewelry by Takara, paper goods and fragrance by Noat, socks by Hansel from Basel, and pleated bags from Japan.
As part of our holiday programming, our fifth installment of AR et al. will welcome five designers to pop-up in our shop on five different days this holiday season. Our first guest, LA-based designer Aza Ziegler will be showing her knitwear label, Calle Del Mar, this Thursday evening, Nov 21, 5:30-8:30pm. Join us in kicking off the holiday season with one of our favorite apparel designers. We'll be here to welcome you with a slice of pie from the incredible Oakland-based Pietisserie.
On Small Business Saturday, Nov 30, we’ll be joined by designer Becky Hui Chan with her fine jewelry collection MIE. Then in December, we’ll be welcoming home goods designer, Melanie Abrantes Designs (12/15); and New York-based ceramics artist, Minh Singer (12/21). Mark your calendars!
