New Year Custom – Wear bright and festive colors. Red is especially encouraged since it welcomes good luck and wards off bad fortune.
Lunar New Year celebrations are filled with round, circular objects and foods. Among our favorites – pomelos, lychee, candied lotus seeds and lazy-susan snack trays.
In Chinese culture, the circle symbolizes harmony, oneness and perfection. It represents the coming together of different parts. Most important during this holiday – family reunions.
With this design, we’ve put in all our wishes for “togetherness” for a year ahead that reconnects us with our loved ones.
This bracelet features 9 of the primary beads. The number 9 is considered a lucky number in Chinese that represents longevity and eternity. Nine (九, jiǔ in Mandarin; gáu in Cantonese) is a homophone to 久 ever-lasting (jiǔ in Mandarin; gáu in Cantonese).
This bracelet features a red silk cord closure to welcome good luck and repel bad fortune.
